Springfield—April 9, 2024—The Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS announced their continued partnership with Visit Springfield today that allows free access to all four rounds of competitive play during this year’s Korn Ferry Tour competition. The tournament is scheduled for June 27 – June 30 at Panther Creek Country Club.

Local not-for-profit organizations have a new opportunity to raise money for their group by volunteering at the Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS, through the tournament’s new Charity Chip In program.

Volunteer registration is now open for the Memorial Health Championship, a PGA TOUR sanctioned golf tournament at Panther Creek Country Club. Tournament officials announced that COUNTRY® Financial will continue to serve as the Official Sponsor of the volunteer program.

The PGA TOUR announced the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour schedule, which features 26 tournaments across six countries and 17 states, beginning in January and culminating in October at the Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by United Leasing & Finance, where PGA TOUR cards will be awarded to the top 30 finishers on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List.

The Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS announced today that professional golfer Joe Weiler has been awarded a sponsor exemption to allow him to compete in the Korn Ferry Tour event in Springfield.

The Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS announced today that Bryce Lewis has been granted a sponsor exemption for the upcoming tournament, set to take place June 29 through July 2 at Panther Creek Country Club. The exemption comes via a partnership with the Elite Amateur Golf Series and Lewis’ finish in the series.

The Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS announced that GAMEDAY presented by CEFCU will return to the tournament week lineup on Tuesday, June 27th. This event, geared for kids ages 8 – 18, will make a fifth-year return to the schedule thanks to local sponsor CEFCU. The event is free to attend and participate in but limited to the first forty registered kids. 

The Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS announced that Jake Erickson, a seven-time Springfield Men’s City Golf champion, has been awarded a sponsor exemption to allow him to compete in the Korn Ferry Tour event in Springfield. Erickson, a Springfield native, said he is thrilled to play on his home course, Panther Creek Country Club.

Memorial Health’s five hospital foundations will receive approximately $85,000 from the proceeds of the 2022 Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS, tournament officials and sponsors announced Thursday.

The Lincoln Land Championship presented by LRS announced a new event for kids ages 8 – 17 held in conjunction with the 2018 tournament. CEFCU will present GAMEDAY on Tuesday afternoon at Panther Creek Country Club.

The Lincoln Land Championship presented by LRS announced today that 2018 Big Ten Player of the Year, Nick Hardy will compete via sponsor exemption into the tournament. “We are thrilled to continue our partnership with the University of Illinois and can’t wait to see Nick compete next month.” said Executive Director, Kate Peters. “We have had a terrific partnership with Coach Small and the men’s golf program since the inception of this tournament and we hope U of I fans will make plans to join us and support Nick next month.”

The Lincoln Land Championship presented by LRS announced today that over twenty organizations are signed up to participate in the 2018 Charity Chip-In program. The Charity Chip-In program allows participating not-for-profit organizations to raise money via the sale of general admission tickets to the tournament. One-hundred percent of the proceeds from each ticket sold via Charity Chip-In will go to the organization that is designated by the purchaser during the buying transaction. New in 2018, participating charitable organizations will have an opportunity to compete for additional funds with the top selling organization receiving an extra $500 courtesy of CMC Farms. The Lincoln Land Championship presented by LRS announced today that Jake Erickson, a Springfield native and five-time Men’s City Tournament Champion will compete in the 2018 event via sponsor exemption into the tournament. “We are very excited to be able to extend an exemption to Jake for the 2018 tournament. Jake brings not only his tremendous talent to the table but will also give the home-town crowd a local favorite to root for at this year’s event.” said Executive Director, Kate Peters. “We know Jake has seen remarkable success at Panther Creek in the past and we are planning to see significant galleries in attendance to show their support.”
