Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS Announces 2027 Tournament Dates
Annual Korn Ferry Tour event returns June 14–20 as it celebrates 12 years in Central Illinois
SPRINGFIELD, Il. — The Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS will return to Springfield June 14–20, 2027, marking the 12th year of the annual Korn Ferry Tour event and continuing a tradition that has become a highlight of the summer for the Central Illinois community.
The 2027 Championship will shift one week earlier on the Korn Ferry Tour schedule, with tournament week officially kicking off Monday, June 14. The four rounds of competition will take place Thursday, June 17 through Sunday, June 20.
Over the past 12 years, the Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS has grown into much more than a week of professional golf. The Championship brings together thousands of fans, hundreds of volunteers, local and regional businesses, community organizations, and corporate partners while showcasing Springfield and Central Illinois to visitors from across the country.
“Reaching our 12th year is something we are incredibly proud of because this tournament truly belongs to the Central Illinois community,” said Kate Peters, Tournament Director of the Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS. “The support we receive year after year from our partners, volunteers and fans has allowed the Championship to continue growing, not only as a professional sporting event, but as an event that makes a meaningful impact throughout our region.”
That impact continues to extend well beyond the golf course. The Memorial Health Championship generates nearly $7.5 million in annual economic impact for the area, bringing visitors to Springfield who support local hotels, restaurants, retailers, and other businesses throughout tournament week.
“We’re proud to support an event that has such a significant and positive impact on our entire region,” said Memorial Health President and CEO Mandy Eaton. “In addition to boosting the local economy, proceeds from the tournament directly benefit our community health efforts, touching the lives of countless patients and expanding access to care for our neighbors across central Illinois.”
“The Memorial Health Championship is one of the events we look forward to most each year,” said Ryan Levi, President and CEO of LRS. “It brings together great golf, great people, and a shared commitment to strengthening our community. We are proud to partner with Memorial Health, Eventive Sports, Panther Creek, and the PGA Tour, and we look forward to another successful tournament in 2027.”
The 2026 Championship welcomed more than 23,000 attendees, with visitors traveling to Springfield from 19 states and Canada. The reach of the event underscores its continued growth as both a regional attraction and a destination for professional golf fans.
“When you look at where our attendees are coming from, it demonstrates the reach this event now has,” Peters added. “We are bringing people to Springfield from throughout Illinois, across the country and even internationally. That provides us with an incredible opportunity to showcase our community while generating a significant economic benefit for the region.”
As a PGA Tour-sanctioned Korn Ferry Tour event, the Memorial Health Championship also provides Central Illinois golf fans with an opportunity to see some of the game’s rising stars as they compete on their path to the PGA Tour.
The 2027 tournament week will once again feature a variety of special events, community programming, sponsor experiences, and fan activities surrounding the four days of competition. Additional information including volunteer registration, tournament-week activities, hospitality opportunities and fan experiences, will be announced in the coming weeks.
