SPRINGFIELD, IL – Volunteer registration is now open for the Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS, a PGA TOUR-sanctioned golf tournament held at Panther Creek Country Club. Tournament officials announced that COUNTRY Financial® will once again serve as the Official Sponsor of the volunteer program.

The tournament is seeking to recruit more than 500 volunteers to fill over 20 different committees for this year’s event, scheduled for June 22 - 28. As the presenting sponsor of the volunteer program, COUNTRY Financial will support the dedicated individuals who help fulfill a wide range of critical roles throughout tournament week. Whether someone is a golf novice, avid fan, returning volunteer, or first-time volunteer, there are opportunities available for everyone.

“At COUNTRY Financial, supporting our communities is one of the ways we help people experience more,” said JR Earley, District Leader of COUNTRY Financial. “We are proud to once again support the volunteers who play such a pivotal role in the success of this tournament. Supporting events like the Memorial Health Championship aligns with who we are, and we’re excited to continue our support of professional golf in Central Illinois.”

Volunteers receive numerous benefits, including branded apparel, access to the COUNTRY Financial Volunteer headquarters, including meals while working, weeklong credentials, behind-the-ropes experiences, and the opportunity to play the Championship’s host course during the volunteer golf outing. A limited number of junior volunteer opportunities are also available during tournament week, offering a great way to earn service hours.  Volunteers who register early will be eligible for several early registration incentives that launch in March.

“We are excited to open registration for the COUNTRY Financial Volunteer Program and continue working with this incredible group of people,” said Kate Peters, Tournament Director. “Volunteers play an essential role in every aspect of tournament operations and are vital to our mission of generating significant economic and charitable impact for our region.”
