Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS Launches 2021 COUNTRY Financial Volunteer Program Registration

4/5/2021

SPRINGFIELD, IL –   COUNTRY Financial® will serve as the Official Sponsor for the volunteer program for this year’s Memorial Health Championship, slated for the week of July 12 – 18 at Panther Creek Country Club.

As the COUNTRY Financial volunteer program sponsor, COUNTRY will support a dedicated group of volunteers who perform a variety of functions throughout the tournament.   The tournament is looking to recruit more than 400 volunteers who will serve on over 20 different committees from walking scorers, marshals, access control and more.

“This tournament is such an asset to our region, and volunteers play a pivotal role in its success,” says JR Earley, Agency Manager of COUNTRY Financial.  “COUNTRY is proud to support such an amazing experience that helps showcase our community to visitors from across the globe. Many of our Agency’s over 90 financial representatives and office staff look forward to assisting in this event as we welcome professional golf back to Central Illinois.”

“We are excited to partner with COUNTRY as the official Volunteer Sponsor,” says Kate Peters, Executive Director of the Memorial Health Championship.  “We can’t succeed without a dedicated corps of volunteers and COUNTRY’s support of this initiative is critical to our efforts.”

The tournament has more than 20 committees in need of volunteers.  Volunteers do not need to have golf knowledge to volunteer.  Returning and new volunteers must complete the COUNTRY Financial volunteer program online registration and can work as many shifts as their schedule allows.

There are also a limited number of junior volunteer opportunities available for individuals ages 14-17 during tournament week and this is a great way to earn community service hours.  Juniors interested in volunteering can register for free by using the code JUNIOR2021 when registering online.
