Lincoln Land Championship Announces Sponsorship Exemptions

SpringfieldMay 20, 2019—The Lincoln Land Championship presented by LRS has announced 2019 sponsor exemptions.   University of Illinois standout, Michael Feagles, will be added to the list of 156 players who tee off for the 2019 tournament.   Feagles, of Scottsdale, Arizona has five top 10’s and 8 top 20’s in his collegiate events during the 2018-2019 season at the University of Illinois.  Feagles golf resume includes 2017 Big Ten Freshman of the Year and he is a three-time All-Big Ten First Team (2017,2018 & 2019) 

Joining Feagles in the field on a sponsor exemption will be Steven Fisk, a senior at Georgia Southern University.   Fisk, of Stockbridge, Georgia, earned his exemption via competition at the Notre Dame Fighting Irish Classic in the Fall of 2018 with a score of 15 under par. Fisk is the first NCAA Division 1 player to win four events in a row since 2009.    

We have enjoyed a terrific partnership with Coach Mike Small and his University of Illinois men’s golf program and expanded our reach into collegiate golf with a partnership with Notre Dame in 2109. Notre Dame opted to award their exemption to the winner of their Fighting Irish Classic that took place last fall We look forward to hosting Michael and Steven next month and hope to see galleries come out and support these stellar young men.” said Executive Director, Kate Peters.   

The Lincoln Land Championship presented by LRS will be held June 10 – June 16 at Panther Creek Country Club in Springfield, IL.  Tickets to the Lincoln Land Championship are on sale now for $10 or $25 for a four pack of tickets.  Every dollar from grounds ticket purchases will go to participating charities.   Spectators can upgrade their tournament experience with passes into the Landmark Cadillac Club. The Landmark Cadillac Club is an all-inclusive VIP experience that provides food and beverage, clubhouse access and access to the shared hospitality area on the 18th green.   Information on all ticket packages as well as a variety of sponsorship and volunteer opportunities can be found online at LincolnLandChampionship.com
