Volunteer Registration Now Open for 2027 Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS

COUNTRY Financial Returns as Official Volunteer Program Sponsor; Early Registration Encouraged for Preferred Committee and Shift Assignments

SPRINGFIELD, IL – The Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS is officially kicking off its 2027 volunteer recruitment campaign, with registration opening Monday, November 2. COUNTRY Financial® will once again serve as the Official Volunteer Program Sponsor for the annual Korn Ferry Tour event, scheduled for June 14–20, 2027, at Panther Creek Country Club in Springfield.

As the tournament prepares to celebrate its 12th year in Central Illinois, organizers are seeking more than 500 volunteers to serve across 20-plus committees supporting tournament operations, player services, hospitality, on-course activities and the overall fan experience.

Individuals interested in volunteering are encouraged to register early to have the best opportunity to secure their preferred committee and shift assignments. With a variety of opportunities available throughout tournament week, early registration provides volunteers with greater flexibility in selecting roles that best match their interests and availability.

“Each year, our volunteers are the heart of the Memorial Health Championship, and their dedication is essential to delivering a first-class PGA TOUR experience for our players, sponsors and spectators,” said Kate Peters, Tournament Director. “We are excited to open registration earlier this year, giving both returning and new volunteers additional time to explore opportunities and secure the assignments that work best for them. Whether you've volunteered for years or are joining us for the first time, there is a place for you on our team.”

COUNTRY Financials’ continued support of the volunteer program reflects the company's longstanding commitment to strengthening the communities it serves and recognizing the individuals who make a difference through volunteerism.

“At COUNTRY Financial, supporting our communities is one of the ways we help people experience more,” said JR Earley, District Leader of COUNTRY Financial. “We are proud to once again support the volunteers who play such a pivotal role in the success of this tournament. Supporting events like the Memorial Health Championship aligns with who we are, and we're excited to continue our support of professional golf in Central Illinois.”

Volunteers enjoy a variety of benefits, including official tournament-branded apparel, weeklong tournament credentials, meals during assigned shifts at COUNTRY Financial Volunteer Headquarters, unique behind-the-ropes experiences and the opportunity to participate in the annual volunteer golf outing at Panther Creek Country Club. A limited number of junior volunteer opportunities will also be available, providing young people with a chance to experience professional golf firsthand while earning community service hours.

Beyond the excitement of being part of a professional golf tournament, volunteers play an important role in supporting an event that generates significant economic and charitable impact throughout the Springfield region. The 2026 Championship welcomed more than 23,000 attendees and generated nearly $7.5 million in regional economic impact.

Volunteer registration opens November 2, 2026. Returning volunteers and individuals interested in joining the program for the first time are encouraged to register early, as preferred committee positions and shift assignments are subject to availability.
