2024 COUNTRY Financial VOLUNTEER UNIFORM PACKAGE: $50

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO VOLUNTEER

  • 13 years of age or older (with limited committee selections)
  • Available to volunteer for (recommended but not mandatory) three shifts between Monday 6/24 - Sunday 6/30.
  • Typical shifts include morning, mid-day, and afternoon times.
  • Flexible in volunteer assignment.
  • Ability to walk 18 holes or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Golf knowledge is helpful, but not required.

Access Control 

Shifts:
Monday - Wednesday - A Shift: 5:00 AM - 10:00 AM, B Shift: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM, C Shift: 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM   l   Thursday - Sunday - A Shift: 5:00 AM - 11:00 AM, B Shift: 11:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Enhance the enjoyment factor: The Access Control Committee will contribute to the verification of credentials at crucial spots within the clubhouse. These locations comprise outdoor player dining, the pro-shop, and the circle drive at Panther Creek Country Club. Individuals possessing strong "customer service" aptitude will excel as committee members.

Admissions

Shifts: Thursday - Friday - A Shift: 6:00 AM - 11:00 AM, B Shift: 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM   I   Saturday - Sunday - A Shift: 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM, B Shift: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Volunteering at the tournament main entry, admissions personnel will sell tournament items and apparel along with issuing daily tickets, managing Will Call and scan tickets/credentials at admissions gates.

Caddie Registration

Shifts: Monday - Wednesday - A Shift: 7:00AM - 10:00AM, B Shift: 10:00AM - 2:00PM
The Caddie Registration team is an exclusive group responsible for collaborating with caddies to facilitate their tournament registration. Strong interpersonal abilities and a deep understanding of tournament details are essential qualifications for this committee. 

COUNTRY Volunteer Headquarters

Shifts: Monday - Sunday - A Shift: 6:30AM - 11:00AM, B Shift: 11:00AM - 3:30PM

Members of this committee will aid in check-in at the COUNTRY Financial Volunteer Headquarters (CVHQ) and helping maintain a hospitable and welcoming environment for our volunteers as well as serve food if needed in CVHQ.

Ecology 

Shifts: Monday – Sunday: A Shift: 9AM - 2PM, B Shift: 2PM - 7PM
In charge of trash removal throughout the course. Stations will include, hospitality tents/structures, CVHQ, on-course, main entrance. Committee members may need to lift heavy items.

Family Fun Weekend - Presented by SIU School of Medicine

Shifts: Saturday – Sunday: 10AM - 4PM
Join our committee for a weekend packed with excitement at the Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS! Our focus is on enriching the fan experience during the Family Fun Weekend presented by SIU School of Medicine. From distributing giveaway items to ensuring the safety of families and smooth flow of activities.

Fan Ambassadors

Shifts: Thursday - Sunday - A Shift: 8:30AM - 1:30PM, B Shift: 1:30PM - 5:30PM
Offering comprehensive assistance for guest inquiries related to the tournament or course to ensure their contentment. Distributing promotional giveaways to spectators when needed upon their arrival or departure. Key prerequisites encompass excellent customer service skills, proficiency in utilizing technology such as computers and iPhones, familiarity with navigating the tournament venue, and aiding with spectator questions.

Hospitality 

Shifts: Thursday - Sunday - A Shift: 8:30AM - 12:30PM, B Shift: 12:30PM - 5:30PM, C Shift: 5:30PM - 8:30PM
Be the liaison to corporate hospitality zones, with duties including ensuring the comfort of guests, overseeing food and beverage service, maintaining venue cleanliness, and verifying credentials by scanning tickets and providing wristbands. Exceptional customer service capabilities and a positive demeanor are essential qualities for committee members. 

Marshals

Shifts: Thursday - Sunday - 4-Hour Shifts Ranging between 6:30AM - 8:00PM
Be our eyes and ears inside the ropes! Ensure players are not disturbed during play, spot balls, assist with starting tents when necessary and enforce crowd control and golf etiquette among spectators.

Player Registration

Shifts: Monday - Wednesday - A Shift: 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM, B Shift: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
The Player Registration team is an exclusive group responsible for collaborating with players to facilitate their tournament registration. Strong interpersonal abilities and a deep understanding of tournament details are essential qualifications for this committee. 

Practice Area

Shifts: Monday - Sunday - A Shift: 5AM - 10AM, B Shift: 10AM - 3PM, C Shift: 3PM - 8PM
The committee oversees the day-to-day functioning of the driving range and all other practice facilities at Panther Creek Country Club. Responsibilities encompass organizing range balls and affixing the suitable nameplate to identify each player.

Pro Am

Shifts: Monday - A Shift: 6:30AM - 10:30, B Shift: 11:30AM - 2PM   l   Wednesday - A Shift: 5AM - 10AM, B Shift: 10AM - 3PM
Assist with Pro-Am operations on Monday, June 24 or Wednesday, June 26 (or both!). Pro-Am operations include assisting participants with golf clubs and equipment, assisting with the ALL NEW Adidas Concept shop, and assisting Panther Creek Country Club staff with golf cart management.

PLEASE NOTE: This committee is only volunteering on Monday, June 24 & Wednesday, June 26. 

Product Distribution

Shifts: Monday - Sunday - A Shift: 5AM - 10AM, B Shift: 10AM - 3PM, C Shift: 3PM - 8PM
Provide and distribute on-course refreshments to multiple locations throughout the course, such as hospitality venues, tee boxes, volunteer headquarters, and player and caddie dining areas. Will require heavy lifting (ice bags, beverage boxes/containers)
PLEASE NOTE: This committee is only volunteering on Monday, June 24 & Wednesday, June 26. 

SHOTLINK Greenside Operators 

Shifts: Thursday - Sunday - 4 Hour Shifts Ranging between 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM
NEW! Greenside Operators will need to be provided on every hole Thursday – Sunday. Greenside Operator volunteers will be responsible for managing equipment around the green to help provide more accurate data to support the ShotLink scoring function.

Standard Bearers

Shifts: Saturday - Sunday - 4-Hour Shifts Ranging between 7:10AM - 5:30PM
Walk the course inside the ropes with the Pros! Standards are metal-framed walking scoreboards that indicate the scores of all the players in a particular group on the golf course. Members of this committee will walk 18 holes and work alongside the walking scorer in delivering accurate scores to all spectators. This committee is ideal for individuals 13+.

Starters and Announcers

Shift times are to be announced

Welcome, Korn Ferry Tour players, caddies and Honorary Observers to the 1st/10th Tee on their day of play Thursday - Sunday of tournament week. Announce the starting tee time of each group and the players’ names. 

NOTE: This is an invite only committee

Walking Scorer

Shifts: Wednesday - Sunday - 5-Hour shifts ranging between 6:30AM - 8:30PM

This committee will record accurate hole-by-hole information for each player in their group then transmit this information to Scoring Central via handheld devices. (Must have thorough knowledge of golf, be comfortable working with smartphones or handheld devices, and be able to walk 18 holes of golf regardless of the weather).
